Time duration measures the length of an interval. Some units such as months and years are approximate because their lengths vary by calendar context.
Calendar months range from 28 to 31 days, and years can be 365 or 366 days. A single fixed factor can only be an average.
Take the decimal part and multiply by 60. For example, 2.75 hours is 2 hours and 0.75 × 60 = 45 minutes.
