The zero points of Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin are defined differently. Converting a temperature value requires both scaling and shifting, unlike length or mass.
Absolute zero is 0 K, approximately -273.15°C. It is the theoretical temperature at which particles have minimal thermal motion.
